Metal boxes are not included, or optional with the PowerBridge kit, however the plate will fit within single-gang metal and new-work electrical boxes.
Important Installation Note
PowerBridge is a recessed in-wall design to allow for low profile wall mounting.
Due to the unique design, the in-wall junction boxes must accomadate the correct depth volume.
PowerBridge will not mount to shallow j-boxes. If you have fir-stripped over concrete walls, recessed receptacles will not work unless the wall is built out or shimmed to allow the necessary depth.
Most standard constructed walls will have 2×4 wood studs, some 2×6.
Either interior or exterior walls with or without insulation will work with PowerBridge j-boxes.
