- 1) Recessed inlet – install in-wall within 5-feet of an existing outlet or your power-surge protection device – Usually installed behind your AV-equipment stand/rack
- 1) 6-foot length UL Listed power-supply cord – plugs into existing outlet or power-surge protector – plugs into the inlet to energize the PowerBridge TV outlet

PowerBridge in-wall kits meet National Electrical Code 400.7 specifically permits the installation to meet Code.
NEC 2014 Article 400.7 Uses Permitted (Flexible Cords) – 400.7(A)(11) “Between an existing receptacle outlet and an inlet, where the inlet provides power to an additional single receptacle outlet. The wiring interconnecting the inlet to the single receptacle outlet shall be a Chapter 3 wiring method. The inlet, receptacle outlet and Chapter 3 wiring method, including the flexible cord and fittings, shall be listed assembly specific for this application.”
The cable running behind the wall is NMB-type permitted Chapter 3 wiring.
