Easy to Install: At the same time while running the A/V cables between the HDTV and source equipment, running in-wall rated power wire, known as ROMEX®, between the POWER INLET and POWER OUTLET and making simple and secure color-coded connections. Your PowerBridge kit comes with 6' ROMEX* wire, easy to follow instructions, with pictures, and wall cut-out template for the in-wall electrical junction boxes for retro-fit into drywall. Basic tools are all you need. Pencil, Small level, Drywall saw or sharp utility knife, flat blade and Phillips screwdriver to install. * Longer lengths up to 18' are available to add to your order. Some areas, local jurisdictions, may require using metal electrical boxes and jacketed metal electrical wire. It is advised to check with your specific local building jurisdiction as to any special code requirements. Metal boxes are not included, or optional with the PowerBridge kit, however the plate will fit within single-gang metal and new-work electrical boxes.
Safe to Install: Your PowerBridge Solution for HDTV is designed as a plug-in electrical device to an existing grounded A/C outlet or surge protector.
During installation, you will never have or be in direct contact with electricity or live electrical circuits, you're totally safe.
PowerBridge is direct wired only between the POWER INLET and POWER OUTLET wall plates. NO direct connection of electrical wiring to, or, from the electrical circuit, back of an existing outlet or house power panel. It's safe and easy to install, in your own home. You do not need to be an electrician to make 3 simple color-coded wire connections and plug in a power cord.
After the wall plates are installed, the POWER OUTLET receptacle is energized by simply plugging in the supplied Power Connection Cord female end to the POWER INLET and the male end to the A/C power source, such as a surge protector or nearby existing A/C outlet.

PowerBridge kits purchased from this website or Authorized Retailers listed on this website include 6' 14/2 type ROMEX® - non-metallic (NM) type building electrical wire. PowerOUT and PowerIN wall plates can be installed as far apart as 75'. Use wire guage 14/2 for runs up to 40' Use 12/2 for longer up to 75' Building electrical power wire can be purchased at home supply/hardware stores. Check local Building Codes for specific types of building wire requirements, such as MC, BX, or AC type wire. Chicago - Cook County IL and NYC New York require metal junction boxes and MC type in-wall power-wire. Click here to learn more.

PowerBridge is a recessed in-wall design to allow for low profile wall mounting.
Due to the unique design, the in-wall junction boxes must accomadate the correct depth volume.
PowerBridge will not mount to shallow j-boxes. If you have fir-stripped over concrete walls, recessed receptacles will not work unless the wall is built out or shimmed to allow the necessary depth.
Most standard constructed walls will have 2x4 wood studs, some 2x6. Either interior or exterior walls with or without insulation will work with PowerBridge j-boxes.
